ABOUT MY CARD

I thought I would take this opportunity to think ahead.  My card is based around Mothers Day, however, this card is going to my daughter as it will be her first Mothers Day.  Being a new mother is not always easy, and I want to let her know that she is doing a great job.

I used a Lost Lagoon card base with a mat of Basic White.  The DSP is Perennial Lavender and I used mats of Lost Lagoon and Highland Heather for the panels.

The sentiment is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder on Basic White cardstock, die cut from the Stylish Shapes circle die and popped up on the Handmade Tag Punch in Fresh Freesia cardstock.

Instead of using a banner, I utilised the Painted Lavender die cuts in Pretty Peacock, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, and tied them off with Linen thread.  I finished the card off with the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems in Highland Heather.

I hope you enjoy this card creation.

  2. Beautiful card, Tamara! I'm sure your daughter will love it. I always think to use those long, thin dies vertically on my card, so I like how you put them horizontally under your sentiment. Thanks for playing along with us at SUO Challenges!
