Now this was a fun challenge!
THE CHALLENGE
Everyone loves a game of Tic Tac Toe right! Well this was definitely no exception.
Using three elements in a row, whether that be across, down or diagonally. I think my card chooses every element but one...which is the winter foliage, but for arguements sake, let's just choose the middle line across. That being Metallic / Ornament / Patterned Paper. If you would like to know more about this challenge and to join in the fun, click the Tic Tac Toe image above to go directly to the website. It's a whole lot of fun, and I hope to see you there! Challenges are a great source of inspiration.

ABOUT MY CARD
For this card I started with a Basic White (Thick) card base.
I chose a mat of Real Red...just an ever so tiny border...but don't glue it down just yet asd we will add all our elements first and hide it all behind.
With the Christmas Tidings embossing folder, I created the background texture on Basic White Cardstock, and adhered this to the real red panel.
I used Gold Foil Sheets and Silver Foil Sheets (retired) to cut out the ornaments from the Handcafted Elements die set, and the inserts were die cut using the Joyful Specialty DSP with Real Red cardstock behind to show through the cutouts, and the Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP with Basic White behind.
I tied bows with the gold and silver Simply Elegant Trim and adhered them to the ornaments with Mini Glue Dots, and threaded another piece theough the eyelet of the ornament to the back where I secured it with tape. Next I added Stampin' Dimensionals to both ornaments. But don't stick them down just yet.
On a scrap of Basic White I stamped the sentiment "Joy" from the Brightest Glow stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento, then die cut it with the tag from the Handcrafted Elements die set. I used a Blending Brush with Real Red ink to blend around the outside and added Wink of Stella on the entire Tag. Added another bow with the silver Simply Elegant Trim and the string in the same way as I applied it to the ornaments...add Stampin' Dimensionals to this tag.
Remove backing from the tag first and position it in place, bring the string up and over the card front and secure it on the back with tape...do the same for the ornaments.
Now that all these elements are in place, you can use liquid glue to adhere this completed panel to the card base. Almost done!
As a final touch, I added 3 Sparkly FirstlyPecan Pie gingham design I wanted, so I used them both...I think they really added to the interest.
I used the Delightful Doily die set to cut out the doily in Basic White as well as the circle die from that same set. I used the sentiment from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento. Matted behind the circle I used the third larges Stylish Shapes die in Real Red...I popped all this up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I then stamped multiple foliage images in Granny Apple, on both Granny Apple Green and Basic White cardstock, from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set and punched them out with the Bough Punch. I also punched a few in Real Red and Basic White, which I coated with Wink of Stella for some added shimmer.
The card is then finished the card front with Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.
But wait...there's more! Of course I could not leave the inside of my card nude. I added a sentiment to the inside of the card with the Brightest Glow stamp set, and made a border for the bottom from a strip of Joyful DSP on a mat of Real Red Cardstock.
Voila! Card complete. I didn't realise how many steps there were to this card until I wrote this blog, but it was actually quite quick and easy to make.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my card and the #tictactoechallenge.
