ABOUT MY CARD
For this week's card I started with a Basic White (Thick) card base. I love using this thick cardstock as it really stands up to a well embellished and weighted card.
The mat layer is Copper Clay cardstock, and I have inked up a section of the next layer with Copper Clay Classic Ink.
On a large scrap of Basic White Thick Cardstock I stamped the large rose image from the Stippled Roses Stamp Set (#162657), which will be released in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalogue as of 4 January 2024, with Tuxedo Black Memento. I then used the blends in all three colours to colour this image, before cutting it out.
Next step was to apply the Copper Clay Textured Ribbon to the bottom third of the double mat, securing it with Mini Glue Dots. I was then able to adhere this panel to my card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
In the center of the shaded section (which I made sure was large enough to place my image with a shading showing through), I placed some Mini Glue Dots. I unravelled the Copper Clay 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim, and strategically placed the twine on top. I just added Mini Glue Dots as I needed them to adhere a few strips of the twine.
Now it was time to add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the coloured die cut image and place it over the top of the twine, allowing bits to show through. I think this gave the card a bit of a rustic look.
I then spashed Wink of Stella over the entire card to continue with the rustic feel, stamped the birthday sentiments from the same stamp set in Blueberry Bushel, and finished off with the 2023-2025 In Color Dots in Copper Clay.
