ABOUT MY CARD
For this week's card I started with a Basic White (Thick) card base. I love using this thick cardstock as it really stands up to a well embellished and weighted card.
Using the classic inks, I added patches of all three colours for the challenge on my glass mat. Using the Stampin Spritzer, I sprayed the inks with water and let them run slightly. I placed a piece of Fluid Watercolour Paper on top making sure to get all parts of the cardstock. If spots were missed, I simply redipped that part. I then heat set the cardstock to dry it fully.
I chose the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set for this card, using the background stamp in Lost Lagoon. Using Versamark I stamped the image on the dried watercolour panel and used the black embossing powder on the main image and heat set with my Stampin Heat Tool. I layered this panel onto a Basic Black mat, and wrapped the Lost Lagoon 1/4" Bordered Ribbon around the bottom of the panel, holding it in place with Mini Glue Dots. I created a bow with the same ribbon, and secured it with Mini Glue Dots on top of the ribbon panel.
The "hello" sentiment is from the same Gorgeously Made stamp set and is stamped on Thick Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Momento, hand cut the banner, and popped it up on Foam Strips before placing in the bottom right hand corner of the card.
