Craft This Way - #crazychallenge33 Insta-Hop: Stampin' Up!

 

I created sweet card as part of the Craft This Way - Crazy Challenge Insta-Hop #crazychallenge33 for 14th December 2023.  The theme for this challenge was to use the Beside Me Stamp Set and the Masterfully Made DSP.

My thoughts for this stamp set remind me of my husband and son.  My hubby is such a good Dad, and I thought my son (now 15) could give this card to his wonderful father on his birthday.

ABOUT MY CARD

On a Basic White (Thick) card base, I added a double mat of Lost Lagoon and the Masterfully made DSP.

I stamped the image from the Beside Me stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento and coloured the image with Stampin' Blends.  I then used Pool Party ink on a block and watered it down, simply used a brush to give a wash of colour.

I die cut this from the Stylish Shapes die set, along with another circle one size up from that same die set in Lost Lagoon.  The middle mat I used the a scalloped circle from the Layered Circles die set (Retired) in Wild Wheat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beside Me stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento, hand cut the banner and added a mat of Lost Lagoon.  I also cut a mat from Wild Wheat cardstock and adhered that to my card under the sentiment banner.  Being a masculine card, I didn't add any bling.

On the inside of my card, I added the sentiment "and you still are".
